The pages of the Scripture are resplendent with the glory of the Christian life—lasting victory over strongholds of sin, miraculous answers to prayer, boldness in declaring the gospel, joy in the face of suffering, multiplying fruit through discipleship, and triumph over the enemy everywhere believers go. Sadly, this glorious description is not the experience of the average American Christian. Instead, we struggle through the motions of Bible Christianity, wanting the real thing, but feeling that something is missing—that there must be something more.

We’re missing what Jesus was talking about in John 14:21 when He said, “and I...will manifest myself to him.” In our distracted, compromising, and broken society, this spiritual reality of the presence of Jesus is the answer we seek! He heals the brokenhearted. He frees the captive. He speaks peace to the troubled heart. He enables the weak. He strengthens the needy. He brings forth fruit. My friend, when Jesus manifests His presence in your life, everything changes!
